IMAGEBROWSERPRO / PHOTO WORKFLOW

Cull. Edit. Tone.
Three different decisions.

Culling narrows the candidates. Editing is your final selection and sequence. Toning adjusts the appearance of the chosen photographs. ImageBrowserPro gives each stage its place.

START / BRING THE SHOOT INTO VIEW

Open the work.
Get your bearings.

Open a folder, select individual files, or drag photographs into the application. Multiple folder tabs let you move between sources while keeping each tab’s selection. Use the grid for an overview and the lightbox for a closer look.

01

CULL / NARROW THE CANDIDATES

Find the frames worth another look.

Move through photographs using the keyboard, mark picks, and use ratings or color labels to record your decisions. Burst detection groups nearby captures by their timestamps, helping you review a sequence rather than treating every frame as unrelated.

  • Open the lightbox with Space or a double-click.
  • Navigate with arrow keys and zoom to inspect detail.
  • Compare two photographs from the burst tray side by side.
  • Use picks, stars, and labels to keep the next pass focused.
02

EDIT / MAKE THE FINAL SELECTION

Choose the photographs.
Shape the story.

Picture editing is the human work of deciding what belongs. Use In / Keep / Out decisions, compare alternatives, and arrange a sequence that communicates the assignment. A technically good photograph is not automatically the right photograph for the edit.

  • Create named selection sets for a particular story or delivery.
  • Keep selections that span multiple folders together.
  • Return to saved sets as the assignment develops.
  • Make the final selection yourself.
03

TONE / PREPARE THE CHOSEN FRAMES

Make essential adjustments.

Crop and rotate, adjust exposure and color, and prepare the selected photographs for their intended use. The hybrid crop view keeps the full frame visible while you work. For a more involved edit, open the image in a configured companion editor.

Keep the choice of photographs separate from their appearance. Finish the edit first, then give the selected frames the attention they need.

FOR DEADLINE ASSIGNMENTS

Keep the delivery in sight.

The Sports Deadline workspace brings event setup, period markers, select targets, a deadline countdown, and primary/backup delivery plans into the assignment. A preparation-to-delivery checklist helps keep the practical steps visible while you make the photographic decisions.

NEXT / CAPTIONS & DELIVERY

A strong edit needs its context.
